The Sugar Maple Project:

Trusted with protecting a legacy...

It began when we saw a local news story on the oldest sugar maple in NY state. The tree unfortunately had to be taken down. The museum site at which it had stood for 400+ years wanted to preserve the tree's legacy.

TimberKrete is honored to have been entrusted with this task.

The first part of the maple's tranformation will involve the creation of the bench. This slab bench will be placed next to the remaining trunk of the enormous tree. Museum goers will truly be able to enjoy a handcrafted token of the tree's heritage. TimberKrete will produce another piece memorializing the tree's history and legacy; this will be auctioned off to benefit Heritage Square Museum.
